My relationship with photography began in 2005 when I started a search for my wedding photographer. I could not get over how certain photos in photographer’s portfolios spoke to me… how they made me feel exactly how the people in those photos must have felt at that very moment, and how it was incredibly important to me to find a photographer that would find that one sweet second over and over during my special day and steal it for me to keep.
Fast forward to now. I have been fortunate enough to have befriended incredible photographers, acquaintances and teachers that are shaping me daily to become the type of photographer I aspire to be. I never stop learning, growing and loving what I do.
I have a special place in my heart for black and white lifestyle photography, symmetry, straight lines, twinkly lights, concerts, date nights and dance parties with my son.
...oh, and I like to quote Paul Simon.
My favorite photos speak to me in black and white. Shades of gray and contrasting highlights with shadows sometimes show more to me than any color can.
Inspired by my colorless perspective, I started a black and white photo challenge on Instagram in early 2016. 99.9% of those are taken with my iPhone (because it's always with me) and I see how it has opened my eyes to a different take on everyday life.

Photography has opened my eyes more than I could have ever imagined. My goal is to open your eyes to that same unique beauty that is sprinkled everywhere in this little world of ours. I can’t wait to spend some time with you to see where our photography journey takes us!
